BAFTA Game Awards 2025: annunciate le nomination, ma il DLC di Elden Ring è assente

La British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA) ha recentemente rivelato la lista dei candidati per i prestigiosi BAFTA Game Awards 2025. Quest’anno, ben 58 titoli sono stati selezionati, tutti lanciati nel periodo compreso tra il 25 novembre 2023 e il 15 novembre 2024. I giochi sono stati suddivisi in 17 categorie, offrendo una panoramica variegata e accattivante delle migliori opere videoludiche dell’anno.

**Candidati al “Best Game”**
Tra i dieci candidati per il premio al miglior gioco emergono alcune delle stelle del panorama videoludico, come Astro Bot, Balatro, Metaphor: ReFantazio e Black Myth: Wukong, fresco di importanti aggiornamenti. Sorprendono anche titoli più di nicchia come Animal Well e Thank Goodness You’re Here, entrambe opere che si sono distinte per la loro originalità e il loro valore creativo in un mercato spesso dominato dai titoli tripla A.

**Un’assenza notabile**
Uno degli aspetti più discutibili di questa edizione è l’irregolare assenza del DLC di Elden Ring, che non risulta candidato in nessuna categoria. A differenza delle modalità di selezione dei The Game Awards, il regolamento BAFTA permette ai DLC di essere considerati solo nella categoria “Evolving Games”, la quale accoglie anche titoli lanciati prima del periodo di eleggibilità, purché ricevano comunque supporto attivo dagli sviluppatori tramite aggiornamenti e nuovi contenuti.
