Insert the Facebook “Like” button in posts on Blogger

Here is a simple guide that shows us how to insert the Facebook “like” button in Blogger posts.

After creating a blog using the Blogger service, we will notice that by default there are only a few buttons at the bottom, not very visible. They are the +1 buttons, to tweet and share on Facebook. Many of our readers don’t see them unless they are experienced or are specifically looking for them.

To make sure that what we publish on our blog, our readers can share on the social sites they participate in, it is very important to facilitate the task, that is, to use larger buttons, not only with the icon, but which have the necessary name and the one displayed at the top of each item.

In this article, aimed at those who have no knowledge of the web edition, we indicate how to solve this situation.

How to insert the Facebook Like button in posts on Blogger

This is the ideal way to give blog readers the opportunity to share posts they find interesting with their friends on Facebook.

First go to Design and then choose Edit Html and to be sure click on Download complete template so as to have a backup copy of the blog in case of errors in the procedure. Immediately after that select the “Expand widget templates” box

Now look for the command line which contains: <data: post.body />

Once you have found the line you have to paste the button code, immediately below if you want to insert it at the end of the article or immediately before if you want to insert it at the beginning of the article.

The code to insert is the following:

<div id=’fb-root’/>
<script>(function(d, s, id) {
  var js, fjs = d.getElementsByTagName(s)[0];
  if (d.getElementById(id)) return;
  js = d.createElement(s); js.id = id;
  js.src = &#39;//connect.facebook.net/it_IT/all.js#xfbml=1&#39;;
  fjs.parentNode.insertBefore(js, fjs);
}(document, &#39;script&#39;, &#39;facebook-jssdk&#39;));
</script>

Now we can click on Preview and if we like the result we can click on Save model.
